Alevtina Ignatyeva


















Born: St. Petersburg, Russia.
Education: The St. Petersburg College (1963), BS.
Profession: Chief engineer, Bridges & Tunnels Co.
In the USA: since 1978. In this country, she worked in Grossman Steel Building Co. in New York.
I had a calling for design from my childhood. Designing, painting is my hobby and life. Now I have only begun sharing my art in exhibitions. I get aesthetic delight when I work with paint. I want to reproduce my feeling through image on the canvas. It is a great opportunity for my experience, for my works as well.











Alevtina is a multi-faceted and gifted painter. The main subjects of her works are landscapes, cityscapes, still lives, genre scenes and flowers. Mostly she works in oil on canvas but she does have some watercolors in her earlier period. Her works being sold from NY around the world.


















She is a painter and designer. She took part in over forty shows in New Jersey and New York. Two of them were solo shows: one in The Fleet Bank, Jersey City N.J. April 2000, the other, “Artistic Mosaic» show in the City Hall Rotunda Gallery of Jersey City, January 2002. Six pictures sold. Alevtina has participated five times in the Cathedral Arts Exhibition Festival.














She is an active member of the Artist Club at the Upstairs Art Gallery with the Hudson Artist INC. of New Jersey. Alevtina exhibited in 49th, 50th, 52d Annual Regional Art Exhibits in Bayonne Public Library Gallery and where she received three awards. In 2006, Alevtina Ignatyeva published her book «Over Years, Over Distances» through Liberty Publishing House in USA. The twists and turns of fate narrated in the first person, are riveting to the last page.
